Recall: Starbucks cups for children, choking/laceration hazard

by patxxoo.
Starbucks is recalling about 250,000 children's cups they have sold from May 2006 through August 2007 at a price range of about $6.00 each.

For a full refund and a free drink on the house if you return one wonder what kind of cup it will be in though.
These cute little 10 ouncers have had seven reports of them breaking and two of those reports said a child had begun to choke on a piece that had broken off of the face of the animals. But it is being reported that no injuries were reported, I guess choking doesn't count as an injury.

The other possibility of injury is possible cuts from the edges of cups that get broken.

“Dot” Red Ladybug; “Dash” Green Turtle; Bunny Pink; and Chick Yellow cups.

They were imported by Starbucks Coffee Co., of Seattle, Wash. exclusively for their coffee shops and made in China.

For more information contact Starbucks at (888) 288-4008 or visit the Web site at www.starbucks.com.

If you happen to check out their website don't forget to check out last years recall on
the "Starbucks Barista Aroma" coffeemaker, yeah with that one you got a refund and a pound of coffee. It also happened to be made in China.
