A salesman trying to sell a customer a new vacuum cleaner ends up donating one of his kidneys. He saw the customer in really bad shape because of kidney failure due to high blood pressure, decides to give his kidney right away.
Jamie Howard, a traveling salesman for the Kirby Co., knocked on Paul Sucher’s door six months ago, wanted to sell a new vacuum cleaner. He soon found out that Sucher couldn’t afford a new vacuum cleaner because of his illness. Sucher, 35, suffered kidney failure three years ago because of high blood pressure, forcing him to undergo dialysis.
Jamie also found that Sucher had the same blood type as his. So he went outside and prayed a little, called his wife and dad and told them about his decision to
donate one of his kidneys. Howard, 35, passed the compatibility tests required for potential donors.
Sucher had his transplant surgery done at the University of Colorado hospital in Denver in August and it was successful. He is feeling better now and is fully recovering.
Sucher said he feels as if he never was ill before and it is truly a miracle that he received this donation from Jamie.
Not many will do what Jamie did; he deserves a raise from his company, if not he will be rewarded surely in the future.
