We are very happy to announce a new mobile version of DigitalJournal.com. We had a number of requests to go mobile, and we have delivered! Check out the details of this big mobile announcement.

We have been getting more and more requests for a mobile version of DigitalJournal.com so that anyone can read through breaking news on their cellphones.

With so many requests coming in, we've been hard at work behind the scenes optimizing the site for mobile viewing. Simply visit digitaljournal.mobi on your cellphone and you can now catch-up on breaking news from anywhere on the road.

Read news, follow discussion threads, vote on articles you enjoyed reading and leave comments on topics that interest you.

Anyone can read the news without registering, however if you are a registered user on DigitalJournal.com you are given the ability to log-in to the mobile site to vote-up articles you enjoyed reading, as well as leave comments in discussion threads. If you do not have an account on DigitalJournal.com, simply sign-up for a free account today and start commenting and voting from your mobile phone right away.

You only need a Digital Journal account if you want to vote or comment on Digital Journal's mobile news site. You do not need an account if you are simply reading from your mobile phone.

DigitalJournal.mobi is entirely optimized for fast mobile browsing, and we've worked to keep a careful balance of features and speed to make the mobile version just as much fun as the news site.

So pull out your cellphones from anywhere in the world and log on to digitaljournal.mobi today.

We appreciate everyone's feedback as we work to improve the site and our services for readers, citizens and citizen journalists. We are also working hard to push Citizen Journalist's news stories to an even wider audience.

---
Note: Not all phones support cookies, so phones that use simplified Web browsers will not keep you logged in. However, you can still read all news without a problem.

Hey, that is really cool. You guys are just so "cutting edge"!

(btw - I tried to upvote but it wouldn't work. Don't know if it is my computer - since I see 7 other upvotes - or what, but something is goofy)

I'll try again after I add this comment.

Seriously, works great on my Dash. No more trying to navigate the main site while I'm out. This may be my favorite new feature ever!

Ok scoop we did some digging and it looks like this was a technical issue isolated entirely to people using Internet Explorer 6.0. The issue has been fixed.

Hold CTRL and press R on your keyboard one more time and it should work fine.

Thanks for the feedback -- let us know if that works for you.

My first thought was I will never use this.
But the more I thought about it since I am going away for three days this weekend I just might want to check on what is going on here until I get back Sat. night.
I am not going to be able to take my laptop.

BTW the new look for adding a vote and the way to edit a comment now where the article can still be seen is GREAT.

I also like the "next in _____" some really great additions.

A thumbs up to all of you.
