It's not advanced, scientific research on melatonin, just a simple DIY plan I came up with. I recorded the sound of a box fan (my white noise of choice for going to sleep) and dropped it to an audio CD. I can now take the boring, humdrum "hummm" with me when I travel.
No reason us Citizen Journalists can't be the subject of our own stories. For me, this turned into a challenge, just to see if I could make it work. Now that I have, I figured others might benefit from the work I did.
Realizing this might be of use to to others, I set up a site for people to download the fan noise
for free if they want. I don't want to sell anything to my fellow DJ'ers. This is just a simple page where you can download some soothing fan noise to help you go to sleep.
Sometimes, the simplest solutions work best. Next time you can't sleep, try some white noise before you reach for the pharmaceuticals. If this is of any use to you, please let me know in the comments.
