Boy In Court For Possessing Anarchists' Cookbook

by RobotGod.
The fear and terror continues. Now a 17 year old British teenager who is accused of simply possessing material for terrorist purposes has appeared in court and was then given bail.
BBC is reporting that he allegedly he had a copy of the "Anarchists' Cookbook", containing instructions on how to make home-made explosives.

The next court hearing has been set for 25 October. He faces two charges under the Terrorism Act 2000.

The first charge relates to his alleged possession of material for terrorist purposes in October last year. The second has to do with the collection or possession of information useful in the preparation of an act of terrorism.

They say he stood in the dock wearing a baggy, blue hooded top and only spoke to confirm his name and date of birth. He was probably to scared to even open his mouth.

After the hearing which lasted 40 minutes, the teenager was released on bail under several conditions.

Interestingly, there is a second 17-year-old who is facing similar charges and has already been remanded in custody and will also appear at the Crown Court in October.

I can't find any more info, but it seems as if he is being charged for simply having a book.

These are scary times. People are too scared and so rights get trampled on. If he had some sort of bad intent, then fine. But if he only had a book, then shame on the entire system.
