Salmonella Fear Causes White Chocolate Recall

Kraft Canada is recalling baker's white chocolate baking squares due to possible salmonella contamination. No illness have yet been reported and the product is being withdrawn from the marketplace.
Kraft Canada Inc. has issued a recall for its Baker's white chocolate baking squares because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

The white chocolate has had Canada wide distribution and is being pulled from the marketplace.

The Baker's white chocolate baking squares sold in the 170-gram size with the UPC code 0 66188 00860 3 and the best before dates of 08 AL 04 and 08 MA 19.are subject to the recall.

You cannot see or smell salmonella but it can cause symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

No illness have as yet been reported.

Consumers with the affected product can call Kraft Canada at 1-800-816-9432 for more information and to request a replacement product.
