Stroke victim robbed after winning at bingo

by Susan Keeping.
An 80-year-old woman who had a stroke and collapsed after leaving a bingo hall in Burnaby, B.C. has been robbed. The money disappeared from the time she left the bingo hall to the time she arrived at the hospital.
The Canadian Press is reporting that 80-year-old Pat Grant collapsed after leaving a bingo game in Burnaby, B.C. on Sunday. She had some luck in the bingo games and had won $275. However, between the time she collapsed and when she arrived at the hospital, the money had disappeared. Bingo staff told the RCMP that the money had been placed in her purse before she left the hall.

How desperate do you have to be to rob a stroke victim of such a small sum?

The victim is recovering in hospital and the RCMP are investigating.
