article imageConvicted child murderer denied parole

It is great to see that there is one thing that the legal system has done to protect the people that it is meant to serve. At least there is one less child murderer out there.
Erica Goodner is serving a time in prison regarding the death of her 19-month-old son, Garrett Adam Goodner Morris, back in 2004. Her, then, live in boyfriend, Troy Goodner, was also convicted and sentenced in the toddler's death. It is suspected that the day that Garrett was murdered that it was Troy that caused all of the injuries by shaking and hitting Garrett as hard as he could.
September 21, 2007 was the date that Troy Goodner went in front of the parole board to plea for parole release. This man has a police record that dates back to his teenage years. There are several charges that were brought against him and dropped by girlfriends that were too scared to go forward with the case. He is known for his temper and all of the letters that were sent to the parole board to help keep him in prison stated all of that.
Erica Goodner's family was notified if the results of the parole hearing. Parole for Troy Goodner was DENIED! He will have to continue his sentence and when the next hearing comes around, we will write again.
Erica Goodner should be getting up for parole soon and when she does, I hope that all of the letters and facts that were not used in the trial will help get her home to her son, Austin.
