Man steals a million screws from employer

by Susan Keeping.
A 33-year-old assembly worker in Wuerzburg, German has been arrested for stealing more than a million screws from his employer. The unidentified man managed to take home about 7,000 screws a day without being noticed.
Police in the city of Wuerzburg said that the man stole 1.1 million screws, with an estimated value of $155,000 Canadian, over a two-year period.

He may have gotten away with the crime if he hadn't sold the screws on the Internet. Police became suspicious about where he was getting them.

The man is now in custody awaiting formal charges.
