A Chinese man sent his mother a check for 2,000 Yuan ($266.67) so that she can make herself beautiful before he introduces his city girlfriend to her. It sparks quite a bit of controversy in his village.
Chen wanted to introduce his rich girlfriend from the city to his mother, but before that he wanted her mother to appear beautiful in front of his girlfriend. So, he
sent a check of 2,000 Yuan to his mother for beauty treatment and didn’t like the current looks of his mother.
Chen fell in love with a beautiful girl when he was a university student. The girl came from a rich family. With the help of his girlfriend’s family, Chen was able to acquire a decent job in a city after he graduated from his college. To keep his current reputation with the girlfriend and her family, he wanted his mother to look beautiful and sophisticated.
Chen’s mother is a cleaner at a local housing estate in Guangdong City’s Fenggang Township. When his mother received the check and the letter, she was confused why his son sent her the money. After her neighbors and local residents read the letter, they explained the whole situation. The neighbors thought it was rude on her son’s part to send such a letter. They thought her son had forgotten all the hardship she had to go through raising him.

Chinese Water Torture”, maybe this son deserves it for forgetting the past and sacrifices of his mother. One would have never heard of such an incident in the past in China. The Chinese like other Asians in general take care of their parents till their last days, so it must be shocking for the elders to hear such stories.
