Two Young Boys Charged With Forcing 7-Year-Old To Perform Oral Sex

Two boys from a Howell, Michigan elementary school have been charged with criminal sexual conduct on suspicion they forced a 7-year-old boy to perform oral sex on them while riding the school bus.
Last May the father of the 7-year-old boy caught his son in the bathroom trying to make his brother perform a sex act.

Later, the boy told police that a 9-year-old boy from his school forced him to do oral sex while on the school bus.

Although there are videotapes from the bus, there have not been any actual assaults showing on them, Howell Superintendent Chuck Breiner pointed out.

Police did report that one can make the assumption in the videotape that one boy forces another boy's head into his lap. And in a second incident it shows the 11-year-old boy trying to conceal what is going on.

"The father of the 11-year-old boy said his son witnessed the attacks and said his son was also a victim of a similar attack by the 9-year-old."

"I think we need to examine our supervisory protocol on buses. I think we need to examine our communication system inside,"
said Breiner.

The 9 and 11-year-old boys have been charged with first and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and a charge of gross indecency between males. The prosecutors dropped charges against the 7-year-old boy for his attempted act with his brother.

The 7 and 9-year-old boys are still in school together, but are on separate buses now. The identities of the children cannot be released because of their age.

Letters to the parents went out from the principal of the school the day after Breiner released a press release to the media. This was almost four months after the alleged incidents took place. The principal claimed he just thought it was a "bullying act" and did not realize it was a sex act.

One concerned parent said
“Both my husband and I are not comfortable with theses children being still in the school. Specifically without the administrators, and support staff knowing whom they are, so they can keep watch and make sure nothing happens,”

First-degree criminal sexual conduct is a felony that carries a maximum sentence of life in prison for adults.

Hi Planet Janet - nice to see you! I've been gone a couple weeks though.
Anyway, yes, I wonder why these boys were doing this. That 9-year-old who sounds like he was the instigator - where did he learn such a thing? Has it been done to him? I hope more details come out as the story unfolds in court later on.

Wow, even kids are messed up these days. You have to wonder what was going on in that kids head. Although I am sure it wasn't the first time kids sexually explored with each other, but sexual abuse, that was unheard of to me.

I wonder what they will do with that kid.

Even further...where did these boys get these ideas from. Granted, there's enough to be seen in the media and on TV, but still...are these kids seeing/doing something at home that they shouldn't see/do? That's what worries me.

Here, similar things have happened but with older kids...and I've said it plenty to my family that these buses really need monitors on them anymore. Kids...can't be trusted, and the bus driver's attention needs to be on the road. Something needs to change for these children to remain safe.

It is disgraceful, they are getting adult like feeling very early now, TV is to be blamed and also parents who don't know how to control to control in front of their children. All three need a psychological screening, hope the affected kid is able to live normally after this and not have nightmares later. They should also ban bullying at school.

I agree Sky the buses need a monitor on to keep an eye on the kids.

Since these boys were let back on the bus they should have to sit in the front seat and not sit in the back with the other children
The boys need to see a child psychologist to get some help as it will net end with them being caught.

There is no doubt that these boys will need some form of therapy. They are old enough now to remember and these images and feelings won't be something that goes away any time soon.

I believe they have had it done to them and that needs to be found out.
The little boy that had these boys violate him on the bus was then doing it to his brother.

These boys all need help to try and get beyond this.

I'm dumfounded. I don't even know what to say. I'm not even sure if I'm speechless because of the nature of the act or because of the outrageous comment by the principal who didnt realize this was a sex act.

Something very wrong is going on somewhere for kids these ages to be performing these acts much less forcing another child to do these acts...bus monitors definitely needed (have volunteers trade out if nothing else just to keep and eye on things) a bus driver can only see so much while trying to drive ...think about how many kids ride the bus, could you imagine trying to drive and keep a watchful eye on that many ...

I was a bus driver for a couple of years, without a bus monitor, and I will tell you that trying to keep your eyes on some 50-60 kids and trying to drive is extremely hard. I ended up quitting due to medical reasons, but it's one job that I don't regret leaving!
