article imageGoogle launches 2 applications for iPhone

By Chris V. Thangham     Sep 25, 2007 in Technology
Google launched two terrific applications for iPhone, Google Calendar and Google Reader, specifically designed for iPhone. These two applications will help iPhone users to schedule and check all their favorite news articles conveniently at one place.
Google launched a new version of Google Calendar that is designed specifically for iPhone, to see how it works just visit http://calendar.google.com in your iPhone and you will be able to see something like the image to your left.
It gives the best of the calendar features in your iPhone, which doesn’t have a standalone Calendar application. With this iPhone integration, you can see the same calendar in your desktop and in your handheld.
Another great application for iPhone is Google Reader. With Google Reader, you can access 1000s of news, blogs, and sites at one place. The iPhone version of Google reader looks well designed and simple to use. Google has also made a special version of Wii that makes good use of the Wiimote.

Google is already planning to launch Google docs for iPhone and mobile soon. It is natural progression for Google to extend these applications for mobile use, since it is also planning to release Google Phone very shortly.
It is great news for iPhone users; two of the best applications on the web are available for them. Expect more good news from Google, they may soon add GMail and Google Search for iPhone. I don’t have an iPhone to check in detail about these mobile versions, if you do have one, try these applications and leave a comment and let us know how it works.
