We have two special days to celebrate at this time. Wolfman's 45TH Birthday was on Sept.20 and his one year Anniversary at DigitalJournal on Sept 23. Ah but where is he? He just left us without a word.
Where is our own Wolfman and how is he doing?

There are many here who knew Wolfman and miss him.
There are many who still wonder where did he go and how is he doing.

Wolfman registered with DigitalJournal on September 23,2006.

He wrote 1,357 articles and made 4,118 comments before he disappeared on April 29 after wishing Alex Chumak a happy birthday.

He wasn't heard from again until he made a comment on "Digital Journal Toronto Chapter Celebrates Citizen Journalists and Online Community.

He has made a few other comments and has been seen recently up voting a few articles but not commenting.

The first day when he started writing was on Oct.4, 2006. On that day he posted ten articles. They weren't the best writing but it was the start of Wolfman becoming a legend on DJ.

As he continued to post he greatly improved in his writing.

A big turning point was on Feb. 21 when he posted this interview
DigitalJournal.Com Unplugged: The Interviews. He took a new leap in the way he wrote and showed us what was a different side to his talented writing.

This is part of a comment by David Silverberg on this interview
"Hey DJ community & Wolfman
It's really incredible to see what Wolf came up with from our interview, great job! This article should definitely be a must-read for any DJ member, since it gives a good backstory to what we think about the site and where we think it'll grow.

Christopher Hogg in part of his comment added
"Wolf, this story turned out great. Congrats on some wonderful original reporting. We are all growing together and it's still very humbling for us to see so many people gravitating to the site."

Wolfman's response's
"I'd like to thank all of you for turning the scariest project I've done on DJ into a positive. I'll keep hoping that the rest of the day goes as well!

and
"Thanks for all the kind words my friends,I guess I can come out from under the bed now that I see this is being well received!

This was a challenge but it was also more fun than almost anything else I've done. Only problem is going to be trying to top this. I wonder if I can get press credentials to the White House?

Shortly after on Feb.27,2007 he stunned us all and even because of this we became more of a tightly knit community that truly began to care for each other's personal lives.

He let us see a very personal part of his life when he wrote this story about the sexual abuse to his daughter:Sexual Abuse, A Fathers POV

Wolfman wrote
"At 8:45 AM tomorrow morning I'll be entering a conference room to attend the first parole hearing of the man who molested my daughter. My thoughts on the subject are here."

Many who commented felt the same way, sickened and hurting and sad for Wolfman and his family.

Many told him that we would be praying for him and his family and others said their thoughts would be with him the next morning.

The following day he let us know the good news by posting this:

Wolfman Update: Parole Denied

He ended this with this statement "
No one deserves to live with the shame of being molested, let's help to stop it and help each other.

If this community can't make a difference then it can't be made. Reach out to each other and help remove the stigma that so often goes with this crime. DJ rocks

He once again bared his soul to us on April 9, 2007 by writing:
Fade To Black: Saving A Life That Doesn't Want To Be Saved

This was about suicide. If anyone has not read it I would encourage you to read it. For those who have I would encourage you to read it again.

Once again this community showed their love and deep caring for each other by their comments.

On his lighter and fun side on March 4 Wolfman was some how able to give us a glimpse of the DigitalJournal staff office in this article:
The Hidden Secrets of the Staff Identities

For those who have never seen the DigitalJournal staff office here it is

Shortly after this things became even more insane with the posting of:The Schizophrenic Existence Of The DJ Community on March 12.
This story I believe had the most comments ever on anything that has been posted. There are an unbelievable 621 comments and it was a lot of fun.

On this story many people became something else.

Wolfman attempted to explain what had taken place on this story for the benefit for anyone new that might wonder what was going on:
Once Upon A Time On Digital Journal

In the story he wrote :
Franklin had become a turtle and my Terrapin sidekick. Museinspiredart was now a robot and chasing the skirt of Leah who now was our Princess. Jaguar had become the fierce jungle cat with the heart of gold and Picasso had become a mother to the pack and had adopted....well,everybody
.

From that time I became "Mom" to Wolfman.

From this Chris made this comment in a story by Wolfman
This is unrelated, but reading you guys talk back and forth is hilarious. People just signing up to this site are seriously going to think you are mother/son. haha

From those crazy stories began some block parties that Chris managed to somehow get made into live chats. They were so much fun and often very fast paced.

Then on April 27 Wolfman wrote about a block party that he titled

"Another Block Party, Come Celebrate DJ's Lost Weekend!"

DigitalJournal experienced a catastrophic hardware failure and the whole system went down from Fri. April 20 until sometime Tuesday afternoon April 24.

Wolfman wanted to have a block party to celebrate being back on DJ and for tales to be swapped about what we did to pass the time while we couldn't be on DigitalJournal.

And then Wolfman 2001 just disappeared seemingly into thin air.

On May 8 museinspiredart wrote about the disappearance of Wolfman here

image:33838:0::0

Chris made the comment that he had been in touch with Wolfman and he would be back sometime in June.
But he failed to appear so once again we wondered where he was.

On May 18 Christopher Hogg suspended both GotTheScoop and Lensman67 for personally attacking each other.

When GotTheScoop returned to DigitalJournal on May 25 she wrote about her week in the DJ Hole

As she was being led to her cell she noticed others that were in cells one in particular she described:
Nearing the end, I was overtaken once again by a noxious odor emanating from the cell on my right. A tall man, who appeared to be covered in dense matted fur, stood at the cell door. His eyes appeared glazed and he was muttering something about dirty robots and pleading to see his mother. “I want my mother, bring her to me” he cried. His words went unnoticed. My heart sank as I realized that this was our beloved Wolfman. Again, “they” had told us he was away attending to some personal affairs. What the hell was going on here?

If he was there or not it wasn't until sometime in June that I started to hear from Wolfman.
As any good son he did not want his DJ mom to worry.

But something strange happened on July 6. Museinspiredart decided that he wanted DigitalJournal to have an Arts section. In his demand to "Boss Hogg" he claimed that he was holding Wolfman hostage until his demands were met.
He stated that
"The wolf will never roam free until my demands are met!"

He also stated
"that the wolf and I go up like a hairy blaze of glory!!"
if his demands were not met.

Finally on July 10 his demands were met and an Arts section was added.

So was Muse telling the truth about holding him hostage and where is Wolfman?

Hopefully one day this mystery will be solved and we will hear from Wolfman and maybe he will come back to us.

As we think of him lets all wish him the very best in his life and a
wonderful Birthday and congratulate him on his one year anniversary at DJ.

If possible add something special that you remember about Wolfman.
If you have joined up since Wolfman mysteriously disappeared and heard about him maybe you could mention that.

Lets hope that he will do us the honor of looking in on us today.
