Austrian jazz legend Joe Zawinul died on Tuesday a few months after his 75th birthday in Vienna, his son confirmed to the Austrian media.
The keyboarder who revolutionized jazz along with the likes of Miles Davis and wrote hits like Birdland or Mercy, Mercy, Mercy had been in and out of hospital since August. im dpa wjh
