Jack McClellan has been been a thorn in the public's side for months now and has finally landed in yet another city: Portland, Oregon. The self-proclaimed pedophile announced his where abouts so that he can use the media to protect him from harrassment.
McClellan's back. The only difference is that he's in another city and state. This time, with his arrival, comes a warning from
Cynthia Steinhauser, a Portland therapist. She feels that he should be considered dangerous.
Steinhauser feels that his behavior, attitude and showing no embarrassment are signs that may be leading to him acting out sex crimes, and his
"unabashed arrogance" is especially alarming to her.
Already there are some Oregonians who wish to follow California's lead and have a restraining order put against McClellan to keep him away from any place where children congregate. However, he has not broken any laws...yet...in which they can ask for this order.
McClellan has gained national attention because he had posted photos on his website of young girls that he had photographed. The website was shut down, and McClellan was chased out of Washington and wound up in Los Angeles.
Parents in California recognized him from anti-pedophile organizations, and he soon faced a civil lawsuit seeking to block him from approaching anyone younger than 18.
He was arrested for violating the restraining order, although those charges were dropped. He then headed to Oregon.
This time, the citizens of Portland have the advantage, they know he is there. McClellan had better tread carefully...the nation is watching.
