Paris Hilton Sues Over Hallmark Card

By RobotGod     Sep 7, 2007 in Entertainment
Paris Hilton, heiress and questionable TV star has filed a federal lawsuit over a $2.49 Hallmark greeting card that uses a photo of the heiress and her trademarked phrase "That's Hot."
The Smoking Gun reports that in a complaint filed yesterday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, Hilton alleges that Hallmark has misappropriated her image and invaded her privacy with the card.
According to the lawsuit, the greeting card, which apparently shows Hilton's "first day as a waitress," was distributed earlier this year and remains on sale now. It has Hilton's face superimposed on a cartoon body.
Hilton is seeking a minimum of $500,000 in actual damages as well as a permanent injunction which would stop Hallmark from further exploitation of her name and likeness.
The "waitress" card is one of three recent Hallmark cards that have featured Paris Hilton. One of them was produced in conjunction with her recent Los Angeles jail term.
Personally I think she has hurt her own reputation far worse then these cards could ever have done. Silly girl. Forget about this and go count your money.
