Luciano Pavarotti, the world famous tenor and opera singer, has died. His condition deteriorated in the last 24 hours after a battle with cancer, and he passed away at his Modena home late Wednesday night in Italy.
CNN reported late Wednesday night with breaking news that the world has lost one of the most beloved tenors and opera singers of all time.
Pavarotti will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Pavarotti was released from hospital on August 25th, more than two weeks after he was admitted with a high fever.
He underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in July 2006 in New York City, and his health had been in decline ever since.
Family and friends were said to be at his bedside when he took his final breath.
More details will emerge tomorrow.
May he rest in peace.
