An unidentified flying object was spotted over the ocean off the Jersey shore last night. Also the UFO was spotted in Fire Island, South Carolina. Officials have no idea what the object was.
A mysterious giant "fireball" was spotted exploding over the ocean off the Jersey Shore at 8:40 p.m. by people on Normandy Beach in Ocean City.

Deputy Chief Tim Cook of the Toms River, N.J. Fire Department told the NY Post the Fireball was out over the ocean and went directly into it. More than 15 witnesses described the object as a large fireball that plunged into the ocean.

Coast Guard spokesman Petty Officer, Nyx Cangemi, said they sent Coast Guard cutters and helicopters but could not find anything substantial. He said it is real a mystery.

The FAA also has no idea about this flying object, and after confirming data with nearby airports and the McGuire Air Force Base, they said it was definitely not a plane.

Some officials speculated the flying object might have been a comet or meteor. The Aurigid meteor shower, which produces blue and green lights, was expected to take place last night, and some say it may have been that object that fell into the ocean.

Lucky it didn’t hit in land and cause damages. Most likely it must have been a meteor. The Coast Guard can check underwater for more debris and conclude it for sure. Unless we have more photographic or video and physical evidence it is hard to prove anything more.
