Colorado Teacher Assaulted Thwarting Kidnapping Attempt

45 year old Paula Bock entered her daughter's elementary school Thursday morning and attempted to leave with the girl in tow. Bock doesn't have custody of the child and the teacher, knowing this, intervened.
According to
9news.com, Bock assaulted the teacher who, knowing the custody situation, stopped her from leaving.
Other school workers approached and [Assistant Principal Todd] Gorske told 9NEWS that as the situation grew heated, he held the child, telling Bock, "This child isn't going anywhere."
Bock is now cooling her heels in the Adams County Jail and faces charges of 2nd Degree Kidnapping and 3rd Degree Assault.
It appears that Bock entered through a locked door that is not in view of the school's security cameras. They believe the door may have been opened by someone inside. Belle Creek Charter School will now have teachers patrolling all doorways in the morning to prevent unauthorized entries.
Kudos to the teacher (who was not named in the article) for knowing what was going on with their students families and having the courage to step up and do the right thing. Bock may love her daughter dearly, but there's probably a good reason she doesn't have custody.
