Last Friday afternoon a new ACE Hardware store in downtown Farmington, Michigan got a surprise customer no one would have ever suspected would show up, or even would be interested in shopping downtown.
Hometownlife reports that around 1:45 PM on Friday a deer broke through the front door of the hardware store.
"At first, I thought that it was a large dog bumping against the front door," assistant manager Christopher Husk said. "The door didn't break, it just fell off the hinges."
The deer was stunned after breaking through the door. After a few moments it leaped through the front window into the store. There were dozens of customers inside who were shocked by the sight of a wild deer in the store with them.
People were trying to hold the deer at the back of the store, but Fridays are busy delivery days. Trucks making deliveries in the back meant having to open the back door for them. The deer took off when it saw the open door in the back and ran away down the street.
The deer had a bloody nose, but there was no information on any other injuries or any damages that occurred from this incident.
