When a woman in the UK had a change of mind about donating some old clothes, it almost cost her her life. The incident took place in the car park of an Asda store in Sittingbourne, Kent.
The 35-year-old had dropped off clothes in a recycling bin there. Apparently she had a change of heart but only after she had dumped the clothes in the bin. When she attempted to retrieve the clothes through the slot, she fell in headfirst.
Fortunately another recycler spotted her feet sticking out of the bin. The woman was lapsing in and out of consciousness by then. He summoned for help after he failed to pull her out.
Firefighters arrived on the scene expecting to rescue a child stuck in the bin. They were surprised to find it was an adult female.
According to one of the firefighters on the scene, the woman had put something in the bin she had not intended to. He added:
Asda was closed at the time, so she was only saved thanks to someone else turning up. It was a very strange job.
