There are times when I cannot read another story about hunger, disaster, war, famine or drought. I am sure we all feel that way, at least at times.
I spend considerable time each week looking for positive stories that show people helping themselves. I do not always succeed. My focus is on Africa, I find that many people know little about the African continent and all too often others do not want to know.
The challenges and barriers that confront North Americans when looking at the tragedies that beset too many African countries can overwhelm us and we toss up our hands and move on.
This is understandable and perhaps, even, at times necessary.
However, it is not hopeless and there is much that we can do.
There are organizations that are working on the front lines and this video is about one of them,
Food for Life.
