Pint-sized Zoey became a pit bull when her masters baby was threatened by a rattlesnake while playing in the back yard. In a self sacrificing move the little dog jumped between the toddler and the snake taking the bite herself.
According to Yahoo news, all this happened in an instant when one year old Booker West, was splashing in the bird bath in his grandparents back yard.
Booker's grandma Denise Long says "These little bitty dogs, they just don't really get credit".
I know when I worked at my vets office it was the little dogs that you had to look out for. They know they have to fight for what is belongs to them and have no idea that the world outweighs them by about 160bs.
The little dog was treated for his bites and was in serious condition for a period of time but has made a wonderful recovery.
Goes to show you that "Lassie" comes in all shapes and sizes.
