Satan and his wife, are here on earth, in full control of Zimbabwe. He is playing numerous roles at the moment, a couple of them being in the form of Robert Mugabe and his spend happy wife, Grace.
As four million Zimbabweans are in desperate need of food aid, and the country's shop shelves are empty, Robert Mugabe has made it a crime for his citizens to import foodstuffs bought in neighbouring countries such as South Africa. This ruling takes effect from August 1.
While the nation is starving, Mugabe's wife Grace, is well known for her shopping sprees in South Africa and Europe. She spends thousands of rands on household goods - including food and drink, and thinks nothing of spending R51 860.00 for a dinner set imported from Britain, bought at a store in South Africa at a shop in one of the more expensive area's, Sandton City.
While it is not known if Grace still shops in South Africa, in two -weeks time, purchases such as the R16159.00 spent on hardware and R3443.00 spent at a local supermarket for juice, biscuits, snacks and toilet rolls, could well become contraband.
Elinor Sisulu, the media and advocacy manager at the Harare based NGO Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, fears this motive is to starve Zimbabweans into submission. She says it is quite terrifying.
Elinor Sisulu, is also quoted as saying,
"The increasing food becoming politicised and hunger, could be seen as a pre-election weapon in Mugabe's hands.
