China to zap rain clouds with rockets

China has a new idea for stopping rain from happening. Especially for the Olympics. They are going to shoot rockets up to disperse the clouds. But what comes up must go down, right?

China has already guaranteed perfect weather for the August 2008 Games, but until now had not said how it would make sure its forecast comes true. Interesting. According to the article they have been doing this for some time to MAKE it rain, but it remains to be seen if they can make it NOT rain. And don't these rockets have to come down somewhere again? Summer is their rainy season so they are really focusing on this idea to make sure the olympics have good weather. The chinese are always coming up with something interesting. Well, they already guaranteed the weather so we will see.
