This is a story about innovation and ingenuity. Phillip Isohe lives in Kenya and works as a metal fabricator in the jua kali, non-traditional industrial sector. He builds model buses and planes to augment his income.
In the video, Phillip demonstrates the attention and pride that goes into the contruciton of one of his model planes.
The planes are very detailed, including the interior and engine. They are battery operated and the doors, lights, propeller all work.
Phillip uses material that he has at hand or can readily find to make the models. He then sells them.
