Police have one suspect they are pursuing, her estranged husband, David Munis. Enlisted with the Wyoming Army National Guard, David Munis was set to become second lieutenant and assigned to the guard's sniper training camp.
As recently as Friday, the victim had complained to the police about receiving harassing phone calls. Eyewitnesses told police that they saw Mr. Munis in the vicinity at the time of the shooting, but could not verify that he fired the shot. No weapon was found at the scene of the crime and the police consider Munis to be "very dangerous". Police consider him the sole suspect in this investigation.
