When Robert Lane tried to pull over a car on a highway on Long Island he was just doing his job. He had his sirens blaring on his SUV Lane helping to perform a normal traffic stop. He flashed his badge and hoped for the best.
Robert Lane wasn't a real cop himself. He did make it very easy for the real police to arrest him. He was nabbed Tuesday for criminal impersonation and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Lane had tried to pull over a New York detective. The detective didn't fall for the attempted pull over. Instead he flashed his own shiny real badge and turned the cards on Lane.
Lane could not be immediately be located for comment. Maybe he's in the pooky?
