Iraq War Propaganda: Iraq's Horror Movie Posters

The internet is playing a key role in the on-going psychological war waged on America by the Iraqi insurgence. A series of mock-up Hollywood film posters - with a chilling message for US troops in Iraq - has started to appear on the web.

There is always propaganda on both sides in any war. Here is an example of a very 21st century way of doing it. Click on the link for a great slideshow. Images of real US troops have been posted on Islamic. websites where they us movie-style images in English. They also make sure to include instructions on how to distribute these to other western websites. Their goal? To affect the US morale of course. This is a fascinating look at things from their perspective. From war movies to zombie movies, they are certainly creative. And at the same time, not much different from our own propaganda tools. In fact these are all very reminiscent of American WW2 posters of that era.
