American media outlets (CNN, FoxNews, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc) continue to cover "groundbreaking" stories regarding this genocide, but they only knick the surface on the urgency and unapologetic slaughter taking place. Most of us switch stations when the mere mention of "Darfur" is said. There is a large stigma that we have about Africa, as a whole, that is really sad and a letdown.

The collective disinterest in the Darfur genocide stems from all of the major events that have raised millions to fight the issues that plague Africa, yet still persist.
