By Chris Hogg     Jul 6, 2007 in
In an effort to engage the public, journalists and citizen journalists with presidential candidates running for the 2008 U.S. election, we're happy to announce a special section on DigitalJournal.com for both Democratic and Republican presidential candidates.
The exclusive section will allow presidential hopefuls to publish news, debate topics and engage in issues with the public. Presidential candidates can talk directly with journalists, citizen journalists and the public about their platform and provide a topical analysis of news and policy important to all Americans.
All U.S. presidential candidates will be personally involved on DigitalJournal.com, allowing Digital Journal members and readers a chance to learn more about their platform and ask questions directly.
With so many people following political and election news online, Digital Journal believes it's crucial for presidential candidates to have a presence on the Internet and interact directly with the voting public. This new section is the connection between the blogosphere and the candidates who want to be the next President of the United States.
Digital Journal's special Presidential Candidates section is open to any person who has announced his or her candidacy in the 2008 presidential election.
Presidential candidates will have a distinctive symbol of an American flag () beside their username. You can click on any name to see a candidate's bio and relevant links to more info.
