Strictly out of “Tales From The Crypt” and the feverish pen of Edgar Allen Poe, a man in Taiwan surprised everyone by waking up at his own funeral. How could this happen? Read on for some death-defying details
An 87-year-old man gave his relatives in Taiwan quite a shock when he awakened in the middle of his own funeral service! According to the Shanghai Daily News, the man’s mourning relatives were reciting Buddhist prayers over his dead body when, with a gasp he suddenly woke up to face the grieving congregation. (How this didn’t cause subsequent heart attacks in the funeral parlor is not known at this time.)
The hospital had informed the man’s family that the only thing sustaining his life were oxygen hoses and that he would die if they were removed. The family opted to remove him from the hospital so that he could die at home. They dressed him in funeral clothes and placed him in the mourning hall where everything was going fine until he started breathing heavily!
Doctors are completely baffled by the man’s recovery and according to the press cannot even hazard a guess!
