Can it leap tall buildings in a single bound? Is it faster than a speeding locomotive? No, but don’t get in its way just the same, for the Titian bot is the strongest robot in the world. Read on for a glimpse into the celebrated life of a mighty machine
The German firm, KUKA Roboter, has celebrated the launch of what is said to be the world’s fastest and strongest robot! The KR 1000 Titian bot has found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records where it perhaps bullied its way to the top of the mighty robot heap. It can lift up to 2,204 pounds and has a reach of 3.2 meters (about 10 feet). All of its power is supplied by a nine-motor drive system whose force enables the Titian to do the jobs that formerly took two robots to do in auto plants, foundries, power plants and materials factories.
What’s a poor second-class robot to do? There seem to be a few options; roll over and make way, start a revolution or…start drinking!
