Jul 25, 2007 - Myspace bans 29,000 sex offenders - 1 comment

A list of sex offenders using the popular MySpace was made available for the public, thanks to our Attorney General Mike Cox. There are about 200 names of men and women in Michigan alone.
Attorney General Mike Cox of Michigan has made available a list of sex offenders in Michigan who use MySpace. Theirs names and screen names are provided to all law enforcement agencies, and the public.
"Today should serve as a reminder to parents to continue to monitor the activities of their children on the Internet, as some registered sex offenders will continue to violate the law," said Cox. "The message we send is clear: We expect strict compliance with the law and have zero tolerance for these offenders. Today we have contacted the Michigan Department of Corrections and provided them with the necessary documentation to proceed on four of these individuals and call upon them to take swift action."
Cox's office had filed a motion against one person named Edward Mitchell Mulak, of Ferndale, Mi. He was using myspace, and it is against his probation by using myspace.
MySpace has deleted those profiles. Here is the list....
