Since the beginning of May, thousands of visitors have flocked to the home of 17 year old Francesca Zackey, who claims to have had visions of the Virgin Mary. Father Barney McAleer claimed that the Catholic Church would investigate the revelations.
The investigations, would be conducted in the same manner, that other revelations of this nature are normally handled, but it could take years. The Catholic Church is used to these kind of things, which happen all over the world.

Theresa Skosana, who works for The Star newspaper, travelled to Francesca's home, to see her. A devout Catholic herself, claimed,
"When she touched me, I felt as though I had no bones in my body. I fell down and went somewhere else. When I returned to myself, I felt very calm, and very at peace. And, though I am not going to divulge what it was, I received a special blessing the next day."

Jennifer Johnson, works at The Sunday Independent, as the newsroom secretary, and calls herself a believer, though perhaps not as devout as she should be, also visited Zackey, and went on to say,
"She is a very strong young woman, so, when she made the sign of the cross on my forehead with holy water, and pressed against my head, I lay down. I did not faint or have an out-of-body experience. But, as I lay there and prayed, and she blessed me in tongues, I did feel a great deal of calm and peace."

Johnson, also stepped forward to be spiritually healed, but Zackey's father realising, his daughter was dealing with a perhaps more recalcitrant case than usual, joined in. Francesca continued praying in tongues, while her father paced around the living room, which is filled with numerous pictures of Jesus and his mother, as well as a statue of the Virgin Mary. They continued to pray together. She was told to 'let go and relax'. However, the aching facet joint at the base of her spine, did not get better, but later in the day grew worse.

Francesca's great grandfather came from Lebanon to South Africa, and the family are Maronite Christians, one of the eastern Roman Catholic Churches founded in the 7th century by John Maron. It is one of the main religious groups in Lebanon.

The revelations, Francesca has, started when she was 15, just after she was confirmed, and she found she could speak in tongues. On May 7, she smelt the scent of roses, and went into her room, to find 'Our Lady' sitting on the bed. She said,
Jesus' mother was very fair-skinned, with brown hair and ice blue eyes. She was wearing a royal blue veil and light was coming from her hands. She told me to pray the rosary, and to get others to pray it, as though it were the last day on earth. The Virgin Mary also said, she loved all her children."

Francesca, was also told by the Virgin Mary, to work as much as possible with young people and to complete a book that is to be called Doorlight to Heaven.

Amal Nassif, who believed Francesca Zackey, when told the Virgin Mary would appear if she gazed into the sun. Nassif, a devout Catholic herself, may now be blind for life. Along with four other people who were told, the lady would spin the sun and confirm her presence to her believers.

Eye doctor, Percy Amoils, is horrified at what he saw,
"I am shattered. Apparently this has happened to other people, and must be exposed. This is an absolute disaster and a tragedy. The sun's rays burnt Nassif's eyes , the same way they burn a piece of paper when focused through a magnifying glass. Her central vision, which allows a person to focus in on certain items, is "severely damaged" in both eyes. "Lets hope God is kind to her and she recovers."
He fumed.

Francesca Zackey says, Nassif's problem is not her fault and she praying for her. She added that the sun is still spinning everyday, but should only have been looked at during sunset. It went out of my hands, people look at the sun at their own risk.
I am not the sun.
She quoted.

Zackey claimed that Mary had told her the sun would spin at sunset, and says the phenomenon was witnessed by hundreds of people, who thought it was 'absolutely amazing', with a rainbow of colour pouring out of the sun. Mary also showed herself inside the giant fireball and placed a protective shield over it.

Thousands of people, are still flocking to the home of Francesca Zackey, and are still being encouraged to seek the lady inside the sun.

Meanwhile Nassif's sight has still not returned, nearly a month later.
