article imageUK PM, Tony Blair is already starting his new career

By Steve in the UK     Jun 9, 2007 in Environment
Tony Blair may be changing careers soon but he's still trying to portray himself as a 'carbon crusader' in a short film which is being premiered at this weekend’s IIFA Awards.
Al Gore is not the only ex-politician into climate change, soon to be Ex-British Prime Minister Tony Blair is using his cameo part in the short film called 'Global Cool' which was made to promote awareness in climate change and the charity 'Global Cool'
The short film, starring Sienna Miller and Heather Graham, was directed by veteran Indian film maker Shekhar Kapur and premiered this weekend at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards ceremony.
54 year old said that he had been preparing for his role in the film for the last 10 years, which will probably explain why he was too busy to actually do anything about reducing the UK carbon output, but playing a 'carbon crusader' in this new film should make up for that.
Blair says, "It was great to be part of Global Cool. But remember, I was only one of a billion people saving the planet in this movie - and they are all stars."
