Man Almost Takes A Dive In The Husdon River

By Michelle Duffy     Jun 1, 2007 in World
A man who was rescued from the George Washington bridge, left traffic at an absolute stand still
The rescue forced the bridge to be closed on both directions whilst the rescue took place causing no amount of traffic chaos down below.
It was thought that those stuck in the jam were going to be sitting there for at least an hour before the bridge could be opened again.
The man, who had managed to defy all phobias had got himself up on to the cables as seen in this piece of news reel footage.
He appears to be just hanging around before a few dozen NYPD move in on him swiftly - hang on to something chaps!
