Power can be used to accomplish a variety of tasks. In the case of the Democratic Party that power will be used to reward friends and punish enemies, a fact made more apparent as the race for the democratic presidential nomination heats up.
According to Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware—through a spokesman—a top priority of his presidential campaign is to “to hold the Bush administration’s feet to the fire on their handling of Iraq.”
In order for the Iraq war to serve as a political tool for democrats to achieve power they must manipulate the American people into believing the situation is hopeless, and that the only way for the United States to remain a powerful actor on the world stage is to withdraw the troops and put a democrat in office who can repair the “damage” done by the Bush White House. A task made easy by the daily violence and death toll in Iraq, but the core challenge will be ignoring the reason for the chaotic spray of munitions and mass numbers of casualties recorded as negotiations continue and milestones in the path to freedom of a deserving people not unlike the first Americans continue to be achieved.
The problem with surrendering is shrouded in complexities most Americans will not take the time to seek out allowing opportunities for certain politicians to unscrupulously take advantage of the inane nature of the masses to always make the wrong decision setting forth for themselves a path of ignorance leading directly to the downfall of democracy. When electing individuals to represent the whole it is the responsibility of voters to seek out truth and force themselves to understand their freedom to do just that was not and IS not free.
American interests are at stake in the world, but because of the thawing of a frozen relationship forward progress is evident on the horizon. According to Reva Bhalla, a Geopolitical Intelligence analyst for
STRATFOR, “the prospect of Washington and Tehran warming up to each other, and of the United States potentially regaining its military bandwidth in the not-to-distant future, is enough to put a number of serious actors into a frenzy.”
As a direct result chaotic episodes of violence erupt on the sidelines because intense negotiations suggest the United States and Iran may be becoming friends and settling tensions. Therefore many regional powers feeling the stress are attempting to understand that they may have to trust the intentions of the United States, and allow the shifting strategies of the world’s only hyper power to take effect.
As a nation it should be our goal to move forward through wisdom and knowledge, and avoid deceit and treachery. Currently those seeking the Democratic Party’s nomination are blinded by the pursuit of their own power, and it is truly hard for the blind to lead the blind.
The Democratic Agenda (Part 3 of 4) will focus on Imprudent Policies.
