According to a family member the body of the soldier found in the Euphrates River on Wednesday has been identified as Pfc.Josheoh Anzack Jr. from California.
Even though the DNA tests are still pending the family of Pfc. Joseph Anzack Jr.have been informed the body is his. He was 20 years old and from Torrance California.
Anzack was one of the three soldiers abducted after an ambush on May 12 outside of Baghdad.
The family was told by military officials that a commanding officer had identified the body.
"They told us we're sorry to inform you the body we found has been identified as Joe," said his aunt, Debbie Anzack. "I'm in disbelief."
20 years old how beyond sad is this for the family and friends of Anzack plus all the others who have lost their life and will continue to do so.
