article imageBreaking News: Apple iPhone receives FCC approval

Apple's iPhone gets FCC approval.
Apple Inc. on Thursday received the official go-ahead on its first ever mobile handset, with the Federal Communications Commission giving the iPod maker the green light to commence sales of the device in the United States.
As planned Apple gets FCC approval, which was the only obstacle it had before it could release the iPhone to the public. The FCC documents obtained by AppleInsider reveal the iPhone designation with FCC ID: BCGA1203 and the model number for the iPhone, “GSM Cellular Telephone with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi” is A1203. Just like Apple responded to Engadget claims that it will release the iPhone as scheduled, this FCC approval will make it easier now for Apple to release it on time.
FCC Test Lab Manager Lothar Schmidt wrote in his SAR Test Report conducted on February 6th, 2007:The Apple Inc. A1203 GSM Cellular Telephone with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, FCC ID: BCGA1203, is in compliance with the limits for general population uncontrolled exposure specified in FCC 2.1093. The device was tested according to the measurement standards and procedures specified in FCC OET Bulletin 65, Supplement C (Edition 01-01) and IEEE p1528/D1.2, April 21, 2003."
The test report usually has comprehensive Photos, External, Internal photographs, Test Setup Photos, and the iPhone User manual, because of confidentiality reasons they are just releasing this short report and omitted the rest.
It also omitted iPhone’s Block Diagram, Radio Schematic, Radio Tune-up Procedure etc.,
There should be no other reasons for Apple to delay the release of iPhone, its biggest stumbling block FCC approval is removed. Now the madness begins, who will get the first iPhone, how are they going to assign it to the new buyers? There will be plenty of news and controversies next month.
iPhone is the biggest anticipated product so far, no other product has generated such a buzz in the market. Will the Apple stock rise because of this news or the shareholders wary about the Engadget debacle?
This should be great news for iPhone buyers.
