article imageNeighbors Sue Leonardo DiCaprio Over Basketball Court

Neighbors claim Leonardo DiCaprio damaged their property by constructing a basketball court and renovation in the surrounding areas
Leonardo DiCaprio's construction of a personal basketball court may wind up in another kind of court.
Ronald and Joan Linclau, neighbors of the famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio, filed a lawsuit Thursday alleging that DiCaprio’s backyard renovation and construction of a basketball court has caused considerable damages to their uphill property. This construction has been ongoing since July 2004.
The lawsuit says that DiCaprio trespassed onto the couple’s territory during the renovation, cutting and removing hedges, excavating earth, granite and bedrock. As a result it has destabilized the neighbor’s deck and pool.
The neighbors claim the damages exceed $250,000 and also say DiCaprio ignored their repeated demands to stop the construction.
Neither the actor nor his rep responded when was asked about this lawsuit.
The details are little at this point, so who is at fault is not clear. If DiCaprio did not damage his neighbor’s property then he shouldn’t worry, but if he did, it is better he goes over to his neighbors and settles it quickly before it is blown over.
