Police Officer Shoots Dog But Bullets Hit Fellow Cops

By Laura Trowbridge     May 12, 2007 in Crime
Two Inkster, Michigan police officers are suffering from bullet wounds inflicted by their fellow officer.
Inkster, MI. police had a search warrant to gain entry into a house yesterday. They encountered the homeowner's pit bull dog who was just doing its job of protecting its master's home.
One of the cops shot three bullets into the dog. The bullets went through the dog and struck two other cops standing by the back door of the house.
One cop took the bullet in his ankle and the other took it in his thigh. They are in stable condition at a local hospital.
It seems to me that cops should come prepared to deal with the possiblity of a homeowner having a dog. And I do not mean being prepared to KILL it!
