A Solar powered lighter lits a fire without any fuel, powered by natural sunlight or artificial light.
A Portuguese web store, D-Mail, is releasing a new product that will help lit a fire in gas burners or even coal filled barbecue. It gives out sparks to start a fire.
The device is equipped with a built in solar panel that utilizes either sunlight or artificial light to charge up the internal Li-ions. Once it gets charged, by pressing the yellow button as shown below, the device flings out a continuous series of sparks that will help to start the fire.
It doesn’t give plenty of flame just enough to start fire in gas burners. If you are out of matches, then this device will come in handy. Plus it is environmentally safe; you can get rid of the matches in the future also.
The lighter has a dual use, the bottom of the device acts as a bottle opener. It is sold for €13.90 ($19).
Instead of using fossil fuel lighters, this will be a great alternative.
