4 Rescued from Vat of Fish Feces

By wiccania     May 12, 2007 in Health
4 men have been rescued from a giant vat of fish feces at the Australis Aquaculture fish farm in Massachusetts.
The workers were standing on a plastic filtration pad cleaning the fiberglass tank, when a bracket collapsed and they were dumped into a sand and feces mix in the filter. The four men and the filtration pad sunk to the bottom of the tank and had to wait 45 minutes to be rescued.
The rescuers had to cut through the filtration tank to rescue the men, one of whom had fallen below the "sludge." The submerged victim was airlifted to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, with no apparent life threatening injuries. The other men had only minor injuries.
Does falling into a vat of fish feces qualify a person for hazard pay?
