The New England Journal of Medicine released some startling findings this week that just might hit men where it hurts!
In a study released in the New England Journal of Medicine this week, men and women who reported six or more oral-sex partners in their lifetime held a nine-fold risk of contracting cancer of the tonsils or at the base of the tongue.
Add HPV to the mix and those study participants were 32 times more likely to develop this type of oral cancer. But don't worry women. This type of cancer is more likely to occur in men! Look for more treatment and education soon for men and HPV. Until then, keep safe!
