A 19 year old man has been using the Internet for at least two years in search of underage girls has been arrested on sex charges involving a 12-year-old.
Adam Glenn Schroeder, 19, of Livonia, has been charged with 5 counts of 1st Criminal Sexual Conduct and 2 counts of 2nd degree criminal sexual conducts.
If convicted he could face on the 1st degree charges, life in prison and on the 2nd degree charges he could get up to 15 years in prison.
The police received a call reporting that a 12 year old was having a sexual relationship with someone she met online that claimed to be 19.
A detective recognized Schroeder from an investigation 2 years ago where he was caught trying to arrange a meeting for sex with an undercover 14 year old.
The suspect used a different screen name but the detective obtained evidence to prove they were the same person.
He is currently out on a bond of $200,000.
If he was caught two years ago for the same crime, why was he out of jail so soon. Seems to me they need to start taking these crimes very serious and giving longer jail sentences.
