Dog helps rescuers find elderly owner
Pets run away/go missing all the time but it's very rare to hear of an owner who wandered off to somewhere and go missing only to be found by his dog.
"If his dog wasn't there, the helicopter wouldn't have been unable to find him," Hirokawa said.
The pilot of a helicopter searching for the man spotted the dog in a field, leading to his rescue Monday. The 88-year-old farmer went missing the day before with his dog “Maru”. Due to relatives request his name isn’t revealed. I’m willing to bet he has Alzheimer’s or something.
The man was in a poor state when he was found. He has been recently sent to local hospital.
