Tired of the same old beach vacations, laying in the sand reading a book. How about spending a week at a Poseidon Undersea Resort, the world's first seafloor resort and the only place in the world where you can spend the night 4o feet under water
Poseidon Mystery Island located in Fiji is geared toward the "elite" and carries a price tag of $15,000 per person for a seven day, six night stay at the worlds first seafloor resort. The resort features 24 underwater suites and 1 luxury apartment. Guests spend 2 nights in the underwater suites and 5 days in the Island Villas.
The underwater suites are 33 feet x 17 feet and 70% of it's construction is plexiglass which gives the guest a spectacular view of underwater coral gardens and marine life. With the push of a remote control you can feed the fish or if you require privacy just activate the interior window film to protect your privacy. During the day it is almost impossible to see in the other suites and at night you can activate external underwater lights to attract marine life from the deeper areas of the reef.
Poseidon features the worlds largest undersea restaurant/lounge and a "unique towering treetop bar". There is a dive shop, a retail boutique and a water sports center. There is also a library, a theater area, a conference room and a chapel. Fitness amenities include a nine hole golf course, tennis courts, swimming pools and a health club.
The Poseidon is scheduled to open in 2009 which gives you plenty of time to save the $15 grand price tag.
