Pop princess Britney Spears is getting back in the game with three secret shows booked as "The M+M's." The secret was out after the first show Tuesday as news stations covered the event.

Pop princess Britney Spears tried to pull a fast one, but her devoted fans weren't fooled. The superstar booked gigs at three House of Blues venues in Southern California under the name The M+Ms, which reportedly stands for "mom" and "ms" (meaning she's single). These are her first concerts in nearly three years. The first event, although only 15 minutes long, went on without a hitch last night (Tuesday) at the House of Blues in San Diego. Tonight (Wednesday) she takes her show to Anaheim's House of Blues in Downtown Disney, followed by a third show Thursday at the House of Blues on Hollywood's Sunset Strip. The secret was out after the first show Tuesday as news stations covered the event. Fans wanted in line to get in, telling reporters that they heard there was a secret show, and they were willing to take a chance. Tickets sold from about $35 all the way up to $125. Sporting a long brunette wig, Spears wore a mini skirt with go-go boots and bared her newly trim belly as she opened with "Hit Me Baby One More Time." Her fans went nuts. Their only complaint?

"It looked like she lip-synched her way through the whole thing," said a disappointed Morgan Segall, 20, who flew in from San Francisco for the night.

Others said she's just getting her feet wet again and they're glad to see her back. Rumors of the shows spread like wildfire last week over the Internet and on local radio stations, causing die-hard Brit fans to scoop up tickets fast.
