Instead of finding purse thieves at Atlanta's Hartfield Airport security officers are finding couples hooking up in the restrooms. Over 30 people have been arrested in recent months in various states of undress and in the midst of passion.
According to the report Craig's List has played a part in the airport hook-up craze. Personal ads on the website have listed the airport as a meeting place for men hooking up with other men.
Hey ... I'm stuck at the airport from 5 p.m. and I'm looking for a good time ...," one ad reads. In another, the person posting says he is stuck at the airport for three hours in the evening and is looking for "discreet, quick action"
Increased security at the airport was intended to catch baggage thieves, but have been doing double time with gentlemen wanting to have a little pleasure in the stalls.
Among those arrested is Ed Wall, the board chairman of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. An officer said he saw Wall having oral sex with another man. Wall, who has temporarily stepped down from his post, has maintained his innocence. A court date has not been set.
The other recent cases are still in the pending files.
